Viviana Guerra ’25 reflects on following her passions. “One thing I have loved about è����˶���Ƶ is that I have had the opportunity to explore whatever I wanted. I never felt like I was stuck in a box.”

“When I got my acceptance letter from è����˶���Ƶ, it felt like I was being introduced to a community that genuinely wanted me to be part of it,” said è����˶���Ƶ College senior Emmanuella Umoye ’25.

è����˶���Ƶ College senior Grace Jaeeun Lee ’25 said, “è����˶���Ƶ has a very collaborative community, a very accepting environment, which helped with [my] confidence. Even if I bring just a little to the table, I know my peers will have my back.”

“I feel more confident and open-minded, open to doing things I would have been afraid to try before. I feel ready to take on challenges,” said è����˶���Ƶ College senior Sumaiya Jahan ’25.

“This place gives you exposure to different people, perspectives and even parts of yourself,” said è����˶���Ƶ College senior Sarah Bell ’25.

è����˶���Ƶ College Assistant Professor of History D. Caleb Smith spoke to The Guardian as to why companies rolled back diversity initiatives they implemented in 2020.

Cindie Huerta-Velazquez ’25 connects food and community at è����˶���Ƶ: “We all have different friend groups, but once a week we come together to talk about anything and everything. We intentionally make that time and effort to be together.”

è����˶���Ƶ College senior Aby Soumare ’25 said, “I’ve found that no matter what, everyone working on this campus wants you to succeed.”

Senior Cynthia Obianuju Akanaga ’25 said, “è����˶���Ƶ changed my life. I’ve always been afraid of making the wrong choice, but being here helped me put that fear into a positive light.”

è����˶���Ƶ College student Oluwafadeyemi Testimony Akinkuolie-Ibidapo ’27 went from volunteering at last year’s Trailblazers of Color Leadership Conference to becoming one of this year’s organizers.
